Second Version of group project

Second Version of Group Project

After discussed with Daniel and other classmates during last lesson, we made following amendments on our group project:

  • Group the project into single slide.
  • Angle of elevation and depression will between 0 to 90.
  • Visual and interactive representations are not drill and practice, quiz questions, tests or games. So we deleted Quiz and Game sections.

Hi,

I think your product is good. very interactive. I also like the mouseover effect on the wording. However, I think you may consider to change the position of "start" and "end" as I find the slider is started at "end".

Hi,
Your picture are very nice. It show the idea clearly. But I think the plane and the bird will not fly like this. They will fly at a horizontal line.

PS. Please give me some comment on my blog. http://www.xanga.com/yyechan2

Nice and interesting. I agree with Kenneth that the bird and the plane would not fly like this. By using a slider, you may drag the bird to fly from the bottom left up to the right. About the measure of the angle shown, would it be better to correct the value to the nearest integer? Is it crucial to let students know that the angle may not be integers in your group assignment?

Hi,
The draft of your project is very nice. It can be provided to us an idea what your final product will be look like. I also agreed with Kenneth Chan. Is it possible for you to consider using the other things to replace the plane and birds for showing the two different angles???

I agree with them talking about choosing other objects to show the two different angles.
Besides, is it better to have a short instruction to tell the users to get more information (about the two differnt types of angles) by putting mouse over the wordings? Just like me. I didn't expect to have more information on this screen until I've read the Ryan's comments.

I felt your learning object serves the purpose of understanding the concepts through interactivity.
I also agree to what ryan says about the slider. I think you should initialise the slider to the stat position instead of the end.

Hi,
Your design is very good and interesting.I agree with what ryan says about the slider. Perhaps, it will be better if the bird do not fly like that.

Hi,

I think i didn't get the information you wanted to tell us. The angle of elevation should be equal to the angle depression. It seemed you did not explain this point. I think the plane and the bird did not match in this way.

Thank You ! Kenneth
We will make two objects:Plane and ship in our final group project. On the other hand, two objects will move in a horizantal line.

Hi,

The presentation is interesting although the flying of the plane and the bird is a little bit strange. Anyway, the picture for introducing the angle of elevation and depression is good.

Thank You ! Ryan and other classmates' comment:I find that it is not quite easy to discover that there are some hotspot effects on the words "angle of elevation" and "angle of depression"
We will give hint in our group project in order to let user know about hotspot effects.
